WELCOME to the DC Metro Young Professionals (DCYP) Kiwanis club website! This is the website of the premier Kiwanis club in the DC metro area catering to young professionals. We hope that you'll take a look around, learn about our club, see when our next service project or meeting is, read about the history of Kiwanis, look at pictures of our members, and (if you haven't already) JOIN!
Becoming a Kiwanian in the DCYP Kiwanis Club provides an excellent opportunity for performing service projects with other young people in the area who are interested in helping people and having a good time while doing it. Not convinced yet? Peruse this page, e-mail us and join us for any of our service or social events. Go on, we invite you!

Loaves and Fishes

Join us for this great opportunity to feed a hot lunch to needy members of NW DC. This is Kiwanis' 3rd time participating. We will be helping prepare, serve and cleanup. This is one of the few places in DC that serves a hot meal and they can really use our help. If you like working with people, this event is for you. If you like working behind-the-scenes, this event is for you as well. To read more, visit their website at http://www.loavesandfishesdc.org.

Sculpture Garden Ice Skating
|
1/24/2009

What's more romantic than a bed of roses (albeit significantly colder)? Sculpture Garden Ice Skating! If you haven’t been before, they have an ice skating rink at The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden and it is a classic D.C. winter event. They allow people to skate in two-hour sessions starting on the hour. I say we get there at 8:30 pm so we can get tickets and be skating by 9:00. Make sure to show up on time because I know these things are very popular. The cost is $7 plus $3 to rent skates. If you have any questions or want more information, e-mail Matt at matt.bettis@gmail.com. See you there!
